Just like when broadcasting was invented, the internet is a new medium for people to distribute and deliver information to the masses. And just like you don’t really want to watch the same shows over and over again, nobody on the internet wants to read the same articles over and over again about the same topic. Not only are you supplying your audience with information that they already know, but you’re hurting your SEO efforts by having duplicate content on your website/blog. Google and other search engines like unique and content rich websites and place them at the top of the search results.

If you have any duplicate content on your website (which is posted somewhere else on the web) it would be a good idea to remove it ASAP!
