Locally focused advertising in social media is expected to grow at annual rate of 33% from $400 million in 2010 to $2.3 billion by 2015, according to a new forecast from BIA/Kelsey. That would make local advertising roughly a third of the total of $8.1 billion in U.S. social media ad revenue that the research firm projects in four years.
Social media spending is on the rise. Small businesses are trying to create a dialogue and connect with their customers on avenues which they use the most. Social advertising is going to increase 25% annaully from $2.1 billion to $7.7 billion in 2015. spending on advertising, like promoted tweets is expected to grow from $50 million to $610 million which is about 50% every year. Small businesses will increase spending by $1 billion and use targeting features in advertising to optimize advertising efforts.
